The CDC has included BMI as a metric in covid risk factors, so I'm not sure what your point is about it being "politically incorrect." We literally KNOW that BMI is bullshit, and they chose that anyway, when body fat percentage would have at least measured something slightly more meaningful.

The medical profession is incredibly fatphobic, and I've seen lots of doctors talking about "obesity" as a risk factor, so it definitely doesn't seem like people are scared to say it. Given how many people die because doctors dismiss their symptoms and tell them to lose weight, instead of actually diagnosing their cancers or other illnesses, I find it extremely hard to believe that it's under-emphasized in the medical establishment.
