Top 10 Terrible Tinder Bios

Just so attractive.

“So, why did you swipe right on me?”

I’ve been asked this question more than a few times, and I can usually come up with an answer. But it’s the wrong question. The real one is “why didn’t you swipe left?”

Not every Tinder dealbreaker is related to the bio — obviously, your pics are also meant to sell you to potential dates. But bad bios are everywhere, and yours is costing you more than you think. Want better matches, better dates, and a better experience? Avoid these pitfalls:

1. No Bio

No, your height doesn’t count — it says nothing about who you are. If your entire bio is “I’m this tall,” you’re saying “I want to date people who only care about my height, and nothing else.”

For a long time, I avoided no-bio profiles. After a while, I got curious. I tried to start conversations with some of these enigmas. I quickly found that many of them simply…had no personality. They could not carry on conversation, answer questions with more than a single word, or generate any proof that they weren’t robots.

So now, I know better than to try to extract humanity from these image-only black holes. I move on to people who, at least nominally, have something to offer.

2. Does Anyone Even Read This?
